What is ColorAshram Community?
ColorAshram Community is created for collective ecological intelligence of natural color application. Everyone who is a maker, user, patron, activist, or enthusiast can be a part of in some way or the other
Who is it for?
There is no qualification needed to join, what’s needed is intention, enthusiasm, and curiosity about the logic of natural colors’ application to counter balance the damage to our water and environment
Why do we need this community?
Nature smiles in Color. The language of Natural dyes is deep and mysterious. It was the way humans spoke for millions of years until the 1990s when we invented synthetic dyes.
Today there is a global ‘need’ to re-invent the wheel of color. A need to unlock the ancient wisdom of natural dyes that were made from plants and minerals and kept a balance between human activities and ecology.
How can I join?
You only need the will and curiosity, to decide who are you out of the 5 options to enter and then fill out the appropriate form below. We will reach out to you within 10-15days and connect to plug you in :)
Who is a leader@Community?
Action speak the loudest.
The innermost circle and core is the one for leaders, by which we mean an individual, company, organisation or group who who knows the potential of natural dyes and has the courage to develop it, live with it, and share it with the world through their work. Which means they are all in! It takes courage, vision, and a mission toward a sustainable and safe future to commit this way. However, it also means the practice has to be authentic, with no greenwashing, and open to vetting by ColorAshram to ensure that the ecological index is taken care of.
Who is a pollinator@Community?
Pollination is nature's way of building a network of connected energies. #Pollinator Circle is for people who teach or promote natural dyeing by conducting workshops, and awareness sessions, thus pollinating the concept of natural colors to the larger section of society who have no idea that our clothes use a lot of synthetic chemicals that are extremely polluting.
Who is a consumer@Community?
There is no planet B. We are social creatures who love to follow each other #Consumers circle is for those who understand, empathize and want to do their bit by buying naturally dyed clothing to help create demand and live by example as a conscious consumer who inspires others in society.
Who is a patron@Community?
‘If a patron buys from an artist who needs money (needs money to buy tools, time, food), the patron then makes himself equal to the artist; he is building art into the world; he creates’Ezra Pound. Patron Circle is for people who have the means to support the color re-evolution where needed.
Who is an artist@Community?
The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible - Toni Cade Bambara. Artist Circle is for people who live the compassion and empathy in their hearts and can pour it into their work that can connect to the heart of the people. once the connection is made, we can convey why natural colors make sense and open the window of choice
