To help us make sense of a world awash in oil, plastics and toxic chemicals

To know the impacts of the spill, entanglement, and toxicity

To feel it in our bones, along with heart and mind

We need much more than statistics

More than dry, artificial intelligence

More than sympathy and apathy

This is a call for emotion and action..

This kind of knowing can only happen with the help of artists and poets

This can only make sense if we can integrate economics of making, buying and selling of natural dyed lifestyle products

‘Let us live and dye naturally’

An invitation to..

What can you do at the Festival?

What do we mean by ‘Natural Color’?

By Natural Color or dye we mean that the color is sourced from a plant or mineral that is not toxic to our water or skin or soil and is applied with a natural or natural based mordant/ fixer/binder which is also easily bio-degradable and will not pollute or impact the environment in a harmful manner even if used in larger quantity.

If this is what you use, you are welcome to bring your product, work, to the festival. Our larger goal is to define how natural dyes can add color to our lives without creating waste or toxin for all living beings.

  • Our Sponsor

Hello, My name is Shripat Jagirdar and I'm the Founder of Weaving Vibes. I have graduated in Bcom and done my Textile Course from Sasmira College ( worli). Joined my family textile business in 2012, and gained on-the-ground knowledge and market know-hows. In the course of working and growing in experience, I understood the destruction polyester and other unsustainable fibres/fabrics/garments eventually cause to our earth. Also being a spiritual person myself, I felt the need to find an alternative, and started researching in 2017. Then as i researched more and came across hemp, it's benefits, attributes and characteristics, I decided in 2020 to start with Weaving Vibes to manufacture Hemp based fabrics.

2017 - 2020 took me time to understand Hemp, it's markets, it's availability and functionality.

Once I was convinced I took decision and we Commercially started in 2020.

By far the Best Decision I have Made. Now there's no looking back!

  • Living Waters Museum

“Textiles are at the heart of our diverse crafts traditions and water is integral to the livelihoods of our artisans and to the production of textiles from farm to fashion. Being sensitive to our water footprint, both to how much water we use and to our wastewater discharge, is critical for a healthy environment and all that the planet supports.

Launched in 2017, the Living Water Museum, a digital repository visualizing India's rich water heritage through storytelling and digital media, is thrilled to have worked with the Color Ashram Foundation to produce the naturally dyed Aqua Stoles to celebrate our five years milestone," Sara Ahmed, Founder-Director, Living Waters Museum at IISER-Pune.

  • TrueToneInk Pvt. Ltd.

Sponsor For Natural Colors used in the festival, Truetoneink is the leader in industrializing natural dye application to bring the much required change in fashion and textiles.
