The first video in this series is about the history of color and how in most of history, humans have always prioritised visual appeal over process and impact. The way colors were made and what they caused, has always been a well kept secret till a new way of making colors was found. There was hardly a concept of ‘safe’ color in the history of mankind especially when our desires for a particular green or red mattered over what it caused. However the story is not so black and white, as synthetic dyes after the Industrial revolution did bring an end to Scheele Green’s horrific health impact on workers for example.
